Light up the Hills (LUTH) will take photographs, audio, and video during our in-person events, and reserves the right to use any photograph/video taken at any LUTH event without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video. LUTH may use the photograph/video in LUTH news or promotional materials, whether in print, electronic, or other forms of media, including on our website.
To ensure the privacy of individuals, images will not be identified using full names or personal identifying information without written approval from the photographed subject.
A person attending a LUTH event (or one we are participating in) who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the photographer, and/or the event organizers, and contact LUTH at info@lightupthehills.com and include an identifying photograph for reference. LUTH will use the photo for identification purposes and will hold the request in confidence.
By participating in a LUTH event or by failing to notify LUTH, in writing, your desire to not have your photograph used by LUTH, you are agreeing to release, defend, hold harmless and indemnify LUTH from any and all claims involving the use of your picture or likeness.

Vendor Use of Dominion Gardens Park During Festival Times 

Light Up the Hills Festival of Halton has exclusive use of Dominion Gardens Park through municipal permits from December 1 until January 12.  Third party vendors and organizations are not permitted within the park without written authorization from Light Up the Hills Festival of Halton.  Vendors without authorization will be required to leave the park.  This will be strictly enforced.​

Ignition Night

Our 17th annual winter festival of lights will run 

December 1 to January 12 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. every day

Join us Sunday December 1st for our annual Ignition night ceremony

                                      6:30pm to 8:00pm with ignition at 7:00pm 

Once again for 2024, we will be holding our annual December 1st Ignition Opening Ceremony.  It all starts at 6:30pm in Dominion Gardens Park in Georgetown.  Check back here for details.  Ignition is at 7:00pm and the event runs until 8:00pm.  There is lots to do for the whole family and the event is free.  

This year the lights will be lit for everyone to enjoy at Dominion Gardens Park in Georgetown and Shelagh Law Parkette.  As always, there is no charge to visit the parks and you do not need to make a reservation.
